NORTH TAGUS AND CANAL ROUTE

This route runs parallel to the Tagus River; it crosses the M-240 behind the chemical factory and returns to the town via the Estremera Canal. The path goes across lowlands and so you will see irrigated land, pines, crops, olives trees, etc.
ITINERARY: Leave Fuentidueña on the M-240. Take a bifurcation to the left that leads to the river. Follow this path which goes onto the M-240 again. After 300 metres you again take the path on the right and, after 100 metres, there is another path to your right. Take this and stay on it until you reach the chemical factory. Here there is a crossing which coincides with the edge of the town. Turn to the left going round the factory. This path is called Valdecaña. Again you will cross the M-240, this time perpendicularly. Continue on for about 600 metres to the next crossing where you take the left-hand path which will take you to the town bordering the Estremera Canal. On reaching the main road, turn right and cross the Canal and keep going to the left for 200 metres. Then continue on the right for 100 metres and take the left path to reach the town through the San Andrés housing estate. On the outskirts of the town you will cross over the N-III.
