We recommend this route for the summer. It coincides with the descent to Valdecortés on the valley path known as the Trebolar Path and the ascent to the town on this same path. It follows the Cacera Madre route and has flora and fauna typical of valleys. You climb up the Carabaña Path with its beautiful views over the town. The path forks and you veer right going up a mild slope amidst olive trees. You start the turn of the path with the salt mines in front of you. You will reach an area with a lot of animal burrows, with the valley on one side and the stream to the left.
ITINERARY: You cross the stream in the valley over a bridge and begin the route on the left-hand path, the Carabaña Path. After 500 metres amidst olive groves and vineyards, you take the right-hand path. Stay on this for several kilometres until you reach the Dehesilla stream, with the Salt Mines on your right. There, take the right turn for the homeward journey on the Trebolar Path, bordering the salt mines and continuing parallel with the Vega stream until you reach the town.
